Why did you endorse the NDP candidate in Waterloo?

Given the very tight race in the Waterloo riding between Catherine Fife of the NDP and the Conservative candidate, I am encouraging voters who are on the fence to put their vote behind Fife.

I want to be clear: I am not endorsing the NDP as a whole. I am saying if you are on the fence between NDP and Green in the Waterloo Riding, you should vote for Catherine Fife in this specific election.

Will you be suspending your campaign?

Not at all! Ontario Greens play an incredibly important part in keeping the environment, climate & fairness alive in this election, and I am proud to have my name on the ballot for the electors who want to vote Green in Waterloo.

I have spent much of my campaign and will spend the remainder of it working hard to ensure Aislinn Clancy is re-elected in Kitchener Centre because I believe in the great work she has accomplished and the importance of her voice in the Legislature.

As a Kitchener-Centre resident, I voted for Aislinn Clancy!

Why is the Ontario Green Party a strong choice?

Mike Schreiner and Aislinn Clancy have been very strong MPPs at Queen’s Park, holding the Ford government to account and leading on key issues like protecting the environment, climate action, housing, and supports for people with disabilities. And they have done so in a collaborative way that works across party lines, putting people before politics.

I believe wholeheartedly in the Green movement. The party plays an integral role at Queen’s Park, and we need more Green voices represented there.

It was a pleasure standing next to Catherine Fife (NDP), who has served Waterloo as MPP for 13 years. It was great hearing from Peter House who formed his own party on Electoral Reform. And Clayton Moore (OLP) had strong insights for first time running. I had so much more to say than can be said in the 1-minute per question and I hope to hear from you if there were any concerns/priorities that were not addressed. Let's keep the conversation going, Waterloo!
